We are pleased to announce Data Power Ups - a scheme designed by Data Skills for Work to create long-term and inclusive data upskilling opportunities for eligible learners in Scotland.

What are Data Power Ups?

Data Power Ups are micro training courses that are part of Data Skills for Work’s Data Personas Journey created to upskill ​and reskill learners based in Scotland to enhance their chances of new job opportunities in Scotland’s evolving technology sector.

These are online self-paced courses to allow you to undertake learning in your own time.

Free courses available

There are a range of courses available, focused on Data Citizens and Data Workers. These courses are free to all people living in Scotland.

Courses include:

• Introduction to Python (School of Python)

• Data Detox 1: Take control of your personal data on the web (Digital Skills Education)

• Data Detox 2: Take control of your personal data on your phone (Digital Skills Education)

• Data Security 1: Securing your sensitive data (Digital Skills Education)

• Data Security 2: Data breaches and phishing (Digital Skills Education)
