Data Skills for Work are partnering with Creative Edinburgh to offer a number of fully funded places for creative workers who have lost significant income in the last 12 months to join the Raise Your Game digital skills programme.

We particularly encourage those from rural communities surrounding the Edinburgh City Region, including the Lothians, Fife and the Scottish Borders to get in touch.

What is Raise Your Game?

Raise Your Game is a digital skills programme from Creative Edinburgh, providing the space for early career creative freelancers to grow skills, increase knowledge and build confidence around the future of their business.

With a focus on digital tools, data and future-proof working models, Raise Your Game delivers eight sessions, spanning topics such as business planning, data knowledge, project management, alternative licencing and much more.

As a Bundle attendee, you’ll have access to cohort meetups and additional resources, encouraging self-reflection and peer support throughout the programme and beyond.

Raise Your Game provides the opportunity to take stock, make moves and think forward to the next stage of your creative journey.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for a place, you must meet the following criteria:

• Working or seeking to work as a freelancer in the creative industries

• Living or working within Edinburgh City Region or the surrounding regions, including the Lothians, the Scottish Borders or Fife

• Able to attend at least five workshops live, hosted between 9:30 - 13:30 (varying times within that slot) on Thursday mornings from 29 April to 24 June. Including the sessions: Business Planning & Modelling and Understanding Your Data with Effini

• Identify with any of the following statements:

  • I have earned less than £16,000 in the past 12 months

  • I have experienced a significant loss of income in the past 12 months

  • I have been unable to access courses and/or resources to develop my career in the last 12 months due to loss of income

These funded places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis to those who meet the eligibility criteria.
