A fully-funded* virtual training course delivered over two half-day interactive workshops. Discover how the effective use of data can bring real value to a business and leave with actionable ideas on how to start to use data within your own organisation.

Open to staff of SMEs in South of Scotland, including Scottish Borders and Dumfries & Galloway.

Session 1 Introduction to data

• Understand what data and data science really are

• Understand why data is an asset for different types of businesses

• See how data can be used to drive decision-making

• Learn about some of the common challenges to working with data

• Understand the importance of creating and capturing good quality data

Session 2 Working with data

• • Develop your skills to communicate a story through data visualisations and insights

• • Learn about common problems when creating data, and how to avoid them

• • Identify the skills and tools required to work with data

• • Start to develop an understanding of techniques to rectify and clean data

Cohort 3: 15th June and 22nd June
