Data Leadership Inspiring Change Scholarship 2023 Open

Data Skills for Work is delighted to offer two fully funded places on The Data Lab’s Data Leadership Programme for Autumn 2023 valued at £2,500 per scholarship

Designed to equip leaders with the necessary tools to enhance their data knowledge, The Data Lab’s Data Leadership Programme focuses on the leadership skills required to design, resource, and implement a data strategy that facilitates organisational change.

The four-month course begins in mid-September and runs until December. It combines in-person and remote sessions to cover themes like data governance and strategy, innovations in data and AI, recruiting diverse data talent and much more.

The programme is not technical and it is not industry-specific. It is for leaders who know that data represents a key opportunity but who wonder what data can achieve for them, and what their next steps are.

Data Skills for Work strives to ensure underrepresented groups in the world of data have equal access to high-quality data skills training.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Belong to an ethnic minority group

    and

  • Live or work in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife, or the Scottish Borders

We encourage applications from people working in any sector. At least one scholarship will be awarded to a woman working in business.

The deadline for applications is Friday 11 August.

This course has been super beneficial as it’s helped me become data-literate. For someone who’s worked with data for aeons, I didn’t realise that there was so much more to learn.
