Funded courses for SME staff

Thanks to a Scottish Government funding boost, we have partnered with a range of training providers to deliver upskilling courses designed to help staff of small and medium businesses improve data literacy in the workplace.

Data for Good

Data supports crucial decisions about where to focus limited energy, time, and budget using evidence, not assumptions. It enhances faster data-based decision-making, gives a clearer understanding of patterns and provides an environment for innovation. Harnessing data reduces costs, drives revenues and increases engagement with both clients and customers.

Free funded places are available to any Scottish SME employee. Priority is given to learners over 24 years and come from one of the following target groups; Women advancing within work, those at risk of redundancy, BAME background, living with a disability, earning below £24k per annum.

Effective Data Skills for Business

A fully-funded virtual training course delivered over two half-day interactive workshops

Discover how the effective use of data can bring real value to a business. Through the use of engaging examples and real-world case studies, you’ll leave with actionable ideas on how to start to using data within your own organisation. Start dates are 4th May, 25th May and 15th June.

Data Analytics for Business Decision Making

Businesses are relying more than ever before on their internal and external data sources to remain competitive, create a niche, decision making, and problem solving. Business Intelligence and analytics tools accomplish this by enabling unprecedented data collection, data manipulation and data visualisation. This data provides businesses with insights they need to respond quickly to organisational and market changes and opportunities.

Free funded places are available to Scottish SME employees, with priority given to those from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) background and those attending other DataKirk training.
