Support your organisation to develop the skills to initiate and sustain data-driven innovation and commit to a culture of workforce development. 

Leadership training for small and medium enterprises 

28-29 March 2022 10am-12.30pm 

This fully funded workshop will help SME leaders and managers understand the potential for the use of data within their business, develop an understanding of their data skills needs to drive value, and how to develop or source the right mix of skills to deliver.

Learning outcomes for this course  

Upon completion of this course the participants will be able to:  

  • Identify data opportunities within your organisation so that you know what skills are required to get started on your next data initiative;  

  • Recognise the classifications of various data roles within your team to identify talent and specific needs;  

  • Explain the value of creating a diverse and inclusive team to increase your likelihood of innovation success;  

  • Develop a pragmatic action plan to help you build the right data team for where you are right now.  

Who is this course for?  

This course open to micro, small and medium enterprises in Scotland. In particular the training is aimed at: 

  • business leaders who want to drive more value from the information they already have; 

  • managers who have responsibility for resourcing within their organisations, including workforce planning and development.

Fee: Thanks to funding from Data Skills for Work at The Data Lab (part of the DDI Skills Gateway) this workshop is free for individuals from micro, small and medium enterprises (normally £500 per person) 

Length: Two 2.5 hour facilitator-led live online sessions (must commit to both dates) 

Dates: Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 March 2022, 10am-12.30pm
